Run Fast, Slow Food is a 5K Run/Walk which will take place on Saturday September 13, 2008 at 9:00 am. Although this event will be timed and the course measured as accurately as possible the course is not certified.
The run will start and end in Bandemer Park in Ann Arbor. The course will take you through dirt trails, paved bike path, a boardwalk and across the dam at Argo before finishing up along the bike path back in Bandemer. There will be aid/refreshments at the start finish area before and after the race. You can enter Bandemer from Main Street at Lake Shore Drive or off of Barton Drive where it meets up with Whitmore Lake Rd. Your best option is to use the entrance on Main Street due to the fact that more parking spaces are available.
Bandemer Park is new to the park system and is a natural area along the Huron River that is 40 acres in size. The park is accessed off North Main at Lake Shore Drive and off Barton Drive where it meets Whitmore Lake Road. The park features accessible trails through the main body of the park, restrooms, benches, accessible canoe dock, fishing deck, shelter, picnic areas and grills. Dirt foot paths wander throughout the site, with views of the river and other unique habitat prevalent. Brochures are available for this park.

Every run/walk participant will recieve a ticket which they can exchange for food items at the festival.
